CUSTOM HOME WINE CELLAR
This space is a passion project- It is in our personal home and we have been designing it in our heads for a long time! We built the entire space ourselves, with the help of our trusty employees here at Parks Painting.
The whole space is done in the color Naval in a flat finish by Sherwin Williams www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6244-naval#/6244/?s=coordinatingColors&p=PS0
The space features a solid wood bar with tigers stripe finish, granite bar top, and built in fireplace. The fireplace serves to warm guests nicely, as the cellar itself is not hooked up to the home's central heat, ensuring the perfect temperate environment for keeping and aging wines.
Also of note is the amazing Reidel Crystal collection.
The company blows their wine glasses in specific shapes to optimize
the aroma and flavor of the varietal being enjoyed.

Although most of the home features stone accents, the wine cellar backdrop is a faux stone product, made from recycled wine bottles!

We included a corner designated for a small wet bar area
with storage overhead and underneath.
There are accommodations for chilling white wines as well!
The floor that was chosen is 100% cork, another design choice we made to enhance the room theme.

The seating area was inspired by old world cigar lounges, but we added a modern element by choosing denim blue colored leather and accenting the room with cowhide barstools and rugs.
We added game tables- Scrabble & Chess- to double as cocktail stands to optimize space and functionality.
The wine inspired design element on this side of the room is the amazing vineyard painting done right into the sheetrock.
The only medium used was wine, reduced to different thicknesses
for color variations

We constructed a tray ceiling so as to not lose more height than necessary building over ducts, pipes, and wires. We decided to wallpaper-yes-wallpaper the receded part of the ceiling. It features wine crates from around the world. We accented the ceiling and door with iron clavos and chose light fixtures with iron elements to compliment. |
